As Tamils, never forgetting our roots, together as community, we learn with joy.

Sangamam Tamil Palli exists to help children and families in California's East Bay learn Tamil language, literature, and heritage through joyful, community-centered weekend programs. We believe Tamil is a living bridge to culture—not only a school subject—and that parents, teachers, and volunteers should share in guiding the school's direction.

Who We Serve

Sangamam Tamil Palli serves families in the PABO region: Pittsburg, Antioch, Brentwood, and Oakley, California. Classes are held on Saturdays during the academic year, with programs from Pre-K through advanced literature and conversational Tamil.

Our first school year runs August 8, 2026 through May 15, 2027, with orientation on opening day. See our academic calendar for class dates, term tests, and community events.

• Weekend Tamil classes — structured curriculum from Mun Mazhalai (Pre-K) through Level 8, plus conversational Tamil

Governance & Financial Transparency

Sangamam Tamil Education Foundation is run by dedicated volunteers. Parents, teachers, and community members participate in decisions about curriculum, programs, and school direction. We are committed to open financial reporting so families and donors understand how contributions support Tamil education.

• Most program funds support facility rental, with remaining dollars reinvested in curriculum, materials, and student resources
• The organization files IRS Form 990 annually as required for tax-exempt status
• Financial summaries are available upon request and are posted on this website after each annual IRS filing
